ROH on Sinclair - Episode 468 - 4th September 2020

We've made it to the last week of pandemic profile specials, before new matches and content returns to Ring Of Honor television when the Pure Tournament gets underway next week. Our final spotlight episode features Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas - it's 'Happy Hour with The Bouncers'...

Bruiser and Milonas open the show together on Zoom and are delighted they finally get their own TV special (having been regular contributors to some of the extra content ROH had put out on the social media channels at the height of the pandemic). Their first match choice comes from Milonas...

A TV edit of Cody/Young Bucks vs The Bouncers/Silas Young for the ROH Six-Man Tag Championship from ROH TV Episode 367 is shown

Our hosts are taken aback by a 'guest' trying to dial in to their Zoom call. The deranged mug of Vincent is soon on the screen. He takes credit for them getting their own TV special, because he thinks it was the darkness and violence he brought out of them in 2019, particularly their Bar Room Brawl at Death Before Dishonor 17, which has made them worthy of a show dedicated to them.

After commercials they have a welcome guest on the show, bringing Cheeseburger on. He's here because he was part of their next match choice...

A TV edit of The Bouncers/Cheeseburger vs Dalton Castle/Kenny King/Flip Gordon from Unauthorized 2019 is shown

They've saved their best guests for last; 11-time ROH Tag Champions (and their 'drinking buddies') the Briscoes. Jay says it's 'always a pleasure' any time he and his brother get to 'go to war' with Milonas and Bruiser.

A TV edit of the Briscoe Brothers vs The Bouncers for the ROH Tag Titles from Mass Hysteria is shown

The show is about to end, but not before The Bouncers bring in Session Moth Martina as their final guest. She is as drunk as they are, Brian asks her on a date...which she rejects then hangs up. What an odd way to finish...

Tape Rating - N/A - I liked the format of having the hosts talk to other ROH stars on Zoom about their match choices. Had they needed to keep going with these pandemic specials I think that is something they'd have done more of. This was fine, with the host segments easy to watch and the match content generally decent. After sitting through 20+ of these I am now ready for some new content - which we'll get to next week...
