ROH on Sinclair - Episode 463 - 31st July 2020

Joe Hendry is our profile subject this week. I have high hopes for this one as he is a natural entertainer and extremely creative when it comes to self-filmed and produced content. He is another of the international talents who had just started to establish themselves on the ROH roster before the pandemic cruelly brought his time in ROH to a premature end.

Joe Hendry welcomes us to Scotland in full kilt. His lockdown experienced has comprised of workouts, hanging out with his dog and producing parody music videos. He fondly recalls some online hangouts with his tag partner Dalton Castle...but admits that they have recently fallen out.

He is celebrating one year as a signed, contracted member of the full-time roster - but Hendry had sporadically appeared at ROH's UK Tour shows for a couple of years before that. He calls his bout with Jonathan Gresham in London from August 2018 the one that 'got him signed'...

Hendry's final match choice is one he calls his favourite in ROH so far, and also the one which proved he could hang in the 'main event scene'

Tape Rating - N/A - Joe is fun, and this was a breezy hour of television. It was light on content and substance, and I'd have liked to have seen more of the fun skits Joe and Dalton put together during quarantine...but the episode was largely fine as a filler episode. And in truth 'filler' is all any of these profile specials really are
