ROH on Sinclair - Episode 453 - 22nd May 2020

For the next two weeks of Ring Of Honor television, La Faccion Ingobernable take control. This week the reigning TV Champion Dragon Lee hosts the show with a spotlight on his own ROH career, before his brother, World Champion Rush, takes over the mantle next week.

Dragon Lee appears to have an AMAZING house. He talks about wrestling Hiromu Takahashi all over the world, including in his ROH debut in 2016...

A TV edit of Dragon Lee vs Kamaitachi (Hiromu Takahashi) from All Star Extravaganza 8 is shown

Next he talks about how much he enjoyed wrestling at Madison Square Garden; praising the energy in the building and the quality of the match as one of his favourites from his ROH run so far.

A TV edit of Taiji Ishimori vs Dragon Lee vs Bandido for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title from G1 Supercard is shown.

He calls his match with Shane Taylor at Final Battle a handicap match because of how much size he was giving up, but says he left as TV Champion because he is 'relentless' in the ring...

A TV edit of Shane Taylor vs Dragon Lee for the ROH TV Title at Final Battle 2019 is shown.

Tape Rating - N/A - English isn't Lee's first language, but I thought he did a competent job providing filler footage to break up the match content. Last week Dalton Castle was incredibly entertaining with his ability to fill lots of the episode with fresh, engaging self-shot skits at home. Dragon wasn't able to do that so, by necessity, this was an episode which lent heavily on in-ring action - and on that front it was great. All three matches shown are fast, frantic and packed full of action
