ROH on Sinclair - Episode 431 - 20th December 2019

With Final Battle in the books, we now move into a miniature off-season, with a couple of weeks of 'best of' episodes. I do wonder if these would have been on the schedule had Survival Of The Fittest 2019 in Texas not been cancelled - but alas it we'll now need to wait until 2020 for any new televised material. Ian Riccaboni is our host.

The show opens with Ian discussing the Television Championship in 2019, moving from Jeff Cobb to the dominant reign of Shane Taylor. They air pretty much the full Taylor vs Bandido bout from Best In The World 2019 too.

BEST OF 2019 - Clips of the Lethal vs Taven sixty-minute draw from the 17th Anniversary are shown.

BEST OF 2019 - The next night at TV tapings Villain Enterprises defeated The Kingdom to become the new Six-Man Champions; belts they would hold for the remainder of the year.

That leads to more discussion regarding the success of Villain Enterprises in 2019, and a near-complete replay of their 8-man tag versus Barbaro Cavernario, Rey Bucanero, Hechicero and Okumura at Global Wars Espectacular Night 1.

BEST OF 2019 - Maria Manic arrives in ROH at Best In the World, terrifying The Allure and embarking on a six-month long assault on ROH's security and event staff...

BEST OF 2019 - Matt Taven wins the World Championship at G1 Supercard. We'll take an in-depth look at G1 Supercard next week...

Ian talks about the feud between the Guerrillas Of Destiny and the Briscoes, which was in fact so violent that they can't put any highlights on television. Instead the show highlights of the Briscoes' classic against Rush and Dragon Lee....

Tape Rating - N/A - The usual festive filler that we tend to get at the end of every year. It is cheap, inoffensive and easy to produce content to pack out the Sinclair network of stations' festive schedules so I fully understand the reason for its existence. This isn't a broadcast you need to spend any time checking out however...
